Biography
Dusan Reljic was born on July 2nd in Novi Sad, Servia.
He studied philosophy and sociology before he devoted himself to cartoons and comcs, and by the 1980’s he established himself as one of the leading Yugoslavian comic makers, publishing his work in newspapers and magazines of former Yugoslavian countries.
Dusan gained publicity in Greece with political caricature and a series of covers for Kiriakatiki Eleftherotypia. He created Balco from Neworderland, a comic strip for Eleftherotypia’s daily paper – a futuristic satire which, dealing with negative aspects of globalization, depics a balcanic figure struggling to find its way in the world of collapsed values, ravaged environment, misused science and hipocrisy.
Dusan did Disney, Tom @ Jerry, Lucky Luke, Pink Panther, Wooddy Woodpecker, etc. He illustrated for Mamouth Comics, Metro, Status, Playboy, Parapente, Penthouse, Modern Times, Eleftherotypia, Kyriakatiki Eleftherotypia, Epsilon…
Presently, He is doing political cartoons for the Kosmos Tou Ependitis.
Dusan Reljic is happily married and has two sons.
He lives in Athens.
